Welcome to
our Club Web Site.
Launceston
was the ancient capital of Cornwall, it still retains the title
of Gateway to Cornwall as it sits just over the Tamar from Devon.
It is a small
market town, nestling on a hillside with a splendid Norman Castle
to watch over it.
The camera
club was formed in December 1976 with an initial membership of
12, over the years we have had a membership of around 35. The
club is open to anyone with an interest in photography. In May of 2006 we
recieved £3,689.00 from Awards for All
This money has enabled us to purchase a digital projector and laptop so that we
can now pursue digital photography in greater depth. If you are a member
of a group who would like to explore digital photography then please get in
touch. We
hope to be running some courses and workshops in the near future.
We meet every
Tuesday evening from 7.15 pm. From September to April. At The
Community Hall, Tregadillett, Launceston. Through the Summer months
we organise outings to various places, these will be posted on
the programme page (hopefully).
The club is
affiliated to the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain through
the Western Counties Photographic Federation. We are also members
of the Cornwall Photographic Alliance.
